![]() Yul Brynner (repeating his Broadway role and winning an Oscar for it) plays 19th-century King Mongkut of Siam, and Deborah Kerr is the widowed British schoolteacher who becomes governess and teacher of the King’s many children, in this lavish, award-winning film version of the famous Rodgers and Hammerstein musical. Today’s screening, which is co-presented by The Musical Theater Project, will be introduced at 3:00 by TMTP founding director Bill Rudman (and Cinematheque director John Ewing).
