Caitlin Hyland (Teaching Artist) is thrilled to be making her Kids Love Musicals teaching debut! Caitlin is a graduate of Kent State University with a B.F.A. in Musical Theater. She has worked at professional theaters in both the New York and Ohio areas. She currently resides in Cleveland, Ohio. Her credits include Gypsy (Mama Rose), Beauty and the Beast (Mrs. Potts), Annie Get Your Gun (Annie Oakley), A Little Night Music (Petra), I Love You Because (Diana Bingley), and Plain and Fancy (Ruth Winters).
KATE LEAGUE (Teaching Artist) A recent graduate of the California Institute of Integral Studies in San Francisco, Kate has an MA in counseling psychology with a specialty in drama therapy. Most recently, she spent two years at the Albany Children’s Center in Albany, CA working with 3-5 year olds. Now that she is back in the Midwest, Kate is excited to work with Kids Love Musicals!, which brings her two favorite things together: children and music! Kate has performed at several local theaters including Near West Theatre, Cassidy Theatre, Stage Left and the Spotlight Players. Eventually, she hopes to further the field of drama therapy, particularly focusing on work with young children.
KELLY MONAGHAN (Teaching Artist) Kelly earned her Bachelor of Music from Baldwin Wallace University’s music theatre program and has performed for many Northeast Ohio companies such as Great Lakes Theater, The Cleveland Opera, Cain Park, Mercury Theater Company and The Musical Theater Project. She has taught theater arts to children in the Cleveland area for more than twenty years. She also serves as a director at The Heights Youth Theater and St. Paschal Baylon School, and as a private voice teacher/vocal coach for children.
MAGGIE STAHL (Teaching Artist) has spent the last twenty years singing and acting throughout Cleveland and Northeast Ohio. She has performed at The Cassidy Theater, Near West Theater and Beck Center among others. Over the last few years she has become involved with Talespinner Children’s Theater, where she serves as a company member and part of their outreach program. She views Kids Love Musicals! program as a natural fit and a wonderful way to enrich the lives of children through music, conversation and play.
Jodi Maile Kirk (Teaching Artist/Curriculum Director) is an arts educator, director and actor who has worked extensively in Northeast, Ohio for more than 25 years. Jodi formerly served as Director of Theater at Laurel School, Associate Artistic Director at Near West Theater and as the director of the school residency program at Great Lakes Theater. She has taught kids of all ages and abilities and believes that exposure to and experience with the creative process can be transformative.
