“Watching my
students come
together, work as
a group, anticipate
Sheffia’s next lesson,
and listen to them
laugh, sing and enjoy
themselves – this truly
was a team-building
experience for my
classroom. Thank
you!”

Kids Love Musicals!
Children have a natural affinity for music, for rhyme, for play-acting and for spectacle. Put them all together in the form of an American musical and you have the perfect vehicle for capturing the participation of even the most reluctant students – a fun-filled way to impart learning concepts that can nurture the whole child.
The Musical Theater Project brings the high spirit of the American musical into the classroom to create a uniquely interactive learning environment for students in grades K-3.
Kids Love Musicals! is a hands-on, two-day residency program. TMTP’s teaching artist leads students in exploring one of three classic fairy-tale musicals: Cinderella, Peter Pan or The Wizard of Oz.
In this program, children employ imagination, creativity and reasoning skills, learning more about themselves and their world through the lives and dreams of the musicals’ characters.
