TMTP Teaching Artists
Jessica Cope – is pleased to return for another year as a teaching artist for Kids Love Musicals! A professional singer, dancer and actress, she received her B.M. in Music Theatre from the acclaimed program directed by Victoria Bussert at the Baldwin-Wallace College Conservatory of Music. Upon graduating, she spent time in New York City performing in Walmartopia (Off-Broadway) and Memphis: In Concert. Her local regional credits include Into The Woods (Witch) with the Great Lakes Theatre Festival, Pippin (Leading Player) at Cain Park Theatre, and I Love You, Because (Marcy) at PlayhouseSquare. Most recently she played Miss Irene Molloy in Hello, Dolly! at Porthouse Theatre. Jessica is a proud member of Actor’s Equity Association and is even more proud to be from the great city of Cleveland as a part and product of its incredible arts community.
Melissa Crum – Melissa is a local teaching artist, actress and singer. She has spent the last four years as a teaching artist for Cleveland Public Theatre’s Brick City program, an after-school initiative focused on improving wellness and academic achievement in inner-city Cleveland children. She has worked for Cleveland Public Theatre, CSU Summer Stages, Karamu House and Disney World. Recent acting credits include: Miranda in Return to the Forbidden Planet, Barbara in Night of the Living Dead, and The Dark Witch in Dark of the Moon.
Sheffia Dooley – Sheffia is a professional dancer, choreographer and actress who has appeared in numerous musicals and plays, including the Cleveland Public Theatre / Great Lakes Theater Festival production of Nickle and Dimed. An experienced teaching artist, Sheffia worked with Great Lakes Theater Festival’s acclaimed school residency program for three years. She is the proud mother of two young boys.
