I WON’T GROW UP

Experience the joy of…
PURE IMAGINATION
A concert for the very young to the very young-at-heart!

Similar to a Sound of Music sing-along or the current “carpool karaoke” trend, TMTP’s new shared experience is sure to be both delightful and nostalgic for all.

Our family concert “Pure Imagination,” has been an audience favorite over the years, but this June we’re truly letting you in on the action. By adapting this performance as an interactive experience, kids, parents and grandparents will be on their feet participating in the childlike wonder of musical theater.

The one-hour show makes its debut at two new TMTP venues: Geauga Lyric Theater on June 24 and French Creek Theatre at the Lorain County Metroparks on June 25.

Your tour guides for the weekend are TMTP artists Ursula Cataan, Shane Patrick O’Neill and Nancy Maier, lead by guest director Jodi Maile Kirk.

“I want us to unleash joy and to actively create this piece with the audience,” says Kirk. “We’ll blend some of our techniques from Kids Love Musicals! into a concert setting. The teaching of lyrics and simple dance moves will add to the fun.” Family-friendly songs span multiple generations from the silly (“Supercalifragilisticexpialidocious”) to the sublime (“Getting to Know You”).
