An Afternoon with Sheldon Harnick

OCTOBER 28 (3:00 PM)
Cleveland Institute of Music (Mixon Hall)

Produced in association with Beck Center for the Arts

Thank you to everyone who joined us for this very special sold-out performance! This concert brought to Cleveland the great lyricist Sheldon Harnick, whose Broadway musicals include Fiddler on the Roof, She Loves Me and the Pulitzer Prize-winning Fiorello! The 87-year-old Harnick and Bill Rudman discussed Harnick’s works and, joined by performers George Roth, Jessica Cope and Jared Leal, performed Harnick songs chosen for the occasion by the lyricist,  including “Sunrise, Sunset” “Merry Little Minuet” and “If I Were a Rich Man,” performed by the lyricist himself, along with a concert version of Harnick and composer Jerry Bock’s charming one-act musical “The Diary of Adam and Eve.”
