Composer Arthur Schwartz did not mince words: “There was a chemistry between the two of them that touched off sparks, flames, explosions." The incendiary team—composer George and his lyricist–brother, Ira—created musical theater history with songs like “Someone to Watch Over Me,” “Fascinating Rhythm,” “Lady, Be Good,” “A Foggy Day” and “They Can’t Take That Away from Me.” All of them, along with many other beloved standards, will be featured in this concert.
