“Oh, the days dwindle down to a precious few… September, November!/ And these few precious days I’ll spend with you.” The lines are from the classic “September Song,” introduced in 1938 by Walter Houston – and our brand-new cabaret explores that universal theme in 60 years of songs from stage and screen. Some are touching, many are witty – but all of them will make you want to celebrate your own precious days even more.

Hoagy Carmichael’s journey is one you won’t want to miss: A law student turned jazz pianist and band leader in his native Indiana, he won instant notoriety in 1929 as the composer of “Star Dust.” Then on to fame in Hollywood writing songs for dozens of films – and even acting in some of them. You’ll hear “Georgia on My Mind,” “How Little We Know,” “The Nearness of You” and many more standards in our salute to an American icon.
